I’m thinking about starting a new blog and retiring this one or just calling it quits altogether. The main reason is that I don’t think many people who were reading my blog in the past, want to hear about someone else’s pregnancy…I know I wouldn’t. And I know a lot of people have blog feeds and I don’t want to keep shoving this kind of stuff into their business. And because I feel so badly about that, I don’t have much to say these days. A blog that doesn’t get updated often, loses readers anyway. Nowadays, when I log into WordPress, my main objective is to read blog posts from my fellow IF bloggers who are out there fighting it out with IF, to wish them well…and I can do that without maintaining my own blog. So I think this could be farewell soon…at least until I lose my shit and decide that I actually want THREE kids and have to deal with secondary infertility.

I am going through the exact same thing. I decided I am going to keep at it if for no other reason than to document the things I’m going through, as I know I will forget the day to day things. I totally understand if people no longer want to read, and I won’t be offended if they stop following me. Good luck with whatever you decide!
I’ve considered moving to a different blog, sort of a repurposed one, but I haven’t made up my mind yet. I know that the preggo posts can be painful for some, and I think about that every time I post. Then I think there are people like me who enjoy those posts from the ones who “made it”, so maybe I’ll stay. Maybe I’ll move just to try a different provider (i.e. blogger) and bring all my content over. Still working it out in my head. While I understand some people leaving, and that makes sense to me, I’m not sure it makes sense for me. I, for one, am dearly hoping to hear how your pregnancy is going all throughout so I hope that at worst, you move to another blog.
As a side note, those who are bothered by the preggo posts always have the option of taking you out of their feeders. I know I won’t be.
Hey there – I did the same thing that you are thinking and it has been a good move. I know that people reading the new pregnancy blog actually want to read it, and it is nice to be able to share the pregnancy with those who want to follow it. Keep me updated with your decision as i’d like to follow your journey.
well, if you move i’ll follow you. i decided to keep my original blog and half the people on it are pregnant now, i love it! so you never know, a lot of your if readers could end up pregnant too.
Im SO happy for you and your successful pregnancy, but selfishly I am disapointed that you wont be part of our IF circle! I have really enjoyed your blog and will definitely follow you! You are an inspiration. (-:
I think you should stay. You are a successful IF story for the rest of us to hope for. After 1 failed IVF cycle, I have started googling for success stories to keep my head in the game. Plus I like reading.
